From a mom of crybaby to a mom of MJ role model
<Review from parent of Seo, Yejun>
To. Mom
Mom! I knew you were my most precious person. I've been wrong, and I've been disobeying my mom a lot, and I'm really sorry. Now I realize that I was so rude to my mom. For the first whole week, I kept crying while writing my diary. Especially, I am so nervous and tired because a scary teacher teaches me grammar. I got in trouble again today. What a meaningful vacation.
I've been looking at my cell phone all day, eating and not talking to my mom... Other teachers and friends say that these kids don't care about their parents when they grow up.I'm really not going to do that. I reflect on myself a lot here and I cry a lot too.
I still try to take it out once in a while, but it makes my eyes teary and I'm overwhelmed with emotion that I can't describe in words as a mother.
I remember sending Yejun to the far Philippines for the first time in the 5th grade winter vacation, praying while being half worried and half expected.
The memory of being moved and happy while reading the letter he gave me when he came back... Then Yejun asked to send MJ winter camp to the 6th grade winter vacation in December 2019. As a surprised mom, I asked him if it was okay because he only cried when he was in 5th grade. He wanted to show me a new side of himself?
A few days ago, I got an international call from the scary English teacher and math teacher who taught Yejun in MJ. The consistent statement is that Yejun is completely different from when he was in 5th grade.
He is doing so well in terms of attitude and academic achievement that he became an MJ role model from crybaby. Mom is just so grateful.
I am even more grateful to know the principal’s weekly leadership lecture and the enthusiasm and sincerity of all MJ teachers have changed our children and allowed us to move toward higher dreams.
In my last call with Yejun, I felt that he could now grow into a great student in the Philippines. Mom firmly believes that he can grow into a great talent.
Thank you again for your great dream through MJ, and I hope that there will be endless progress in the future of MJ and the children.
